I would highly recommend Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory for anyone who needs funeral services. The entire team from start to finish was wonderful. The funeral home is also well maintained. Losing a loved one is never easy, but they guided us through the process with kindness and understanding and made the whole process lighter. They were committed to striving for perfection throughout the process, but looking back now, there were a couple of minor things I would have handled differently. However, we live in an imperfect world, so these small imperfections are understandable. I think this funeral home truly care about what they do, and we appreciated their service and support.

Ron Kurza handled my wife's funeral service this week. From the wake, to coordinating with my church (Our Lady of Mercy in Aurora) to the graveside service, Ron handled all the details with great skill. In my time of grief, he kept me and my family from having to worry about the details of the service. To everyone at Beidelman-Kunsch. Your business was discovered by my brother-in-law who lived close to the home on Route 59 in Naperville. Then, we had my mother-in-laws services here. It was here where my sister, Sheila, remembered how beautiful the stained glass looked in the back ground behind Mama Gloeckles casket. As for me, I didn't recall that detail, but I do remember how nice the home was and how convenient the location was. I miss my sister so much. Word's cannot express on how everything resulted in graceful perfection. He took his time, and worked flexible hours to ensure we had everything we needed for this day. I was surprised to see him organizing and preparing at 8pm the evening before when I swung by. Other funeral homes were strict, uncomfortable, more pricey and with an unwelcoming feel. God places certain people in certain places to do work for humanity. From doctors to teachers, etc... And funeral homes happen to be our last stop on earth. Ron is one of those people placed at your funeral home helping God do work for humanity. A funeral arrangement is the last thing I ever wanted to experience (one of my biggest fears) but thanks to the service we received we were able to face the situation in a very smooth, lovable and honorable way.

My brother and I met with Phil and Ron at the Rte 59 location when my mother went into hospice care to plan the arrangements. Phil was extremely compassionate and helpful in planning my mother's services. Never once did we feel any pressure to do anything, their primary concern was to make sure we did what was best for us and for our Mom. We selected a beautiful casket but we weren't a big fan of the lid panel. Phil called the casket company and special ordered a specific panel for the casket per our request. When Mom passed away, they worked very diligently and quickly in arranging her services. They did a marvelous job making my mom look simply like she was sleeping. Ron was with us through the visitation and made sure we had anything and everything we needed. They also took the extra care to be sure to place the urns of my Mom's two dogs with her for burial, which is what she always wanted. Her family plot is in Ohio, so they worked with a funeral home there and arranged for her to be flown home so she could be laid to rest next to her father. Even after, they have been extremely helpful to me regarding handling my Mom's affairs. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is need of their services; they were professional, compassionate, and made the worst days of my life a little bit easier.

On Monday, May 18, it was my privilege to serve as the organist for the visitation and funeral for Charles Rozhon Jr. which was held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, IL. My purpose in writing is to commend and encourage those representatives from the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home who participated in this meaningful event. Since I have at other times been critical of the services of other funeral homes, it is especially important for me to highlight and take this time to commend those who know how to serve others in a meaningful way during this time of need. My wife and I were sincerely impressed by the caring and compassion shown to the family members present and others in attendance. Your representatives were both caring and compassionate in their demeanor. They were well organized and paid close attention to detail. Their attitudes were genuine - they came to serve to the best of their abilities. The respect for the deceased was also obvious. While I was busy playing, my wife happened to notice the funeral home representative pause and perhaps pray a moment before closing the casket just before the funeral service was to begin. Never, in all my years (I'm nearly 70 years young), have I seen or heard of such respect being shown. Not too long ago I actually had to bring to the attention of another funeral home in our area the fact that having a representative bring the casket forward while chewing gum was inappropriate and made it look like they were pushing a refreshment cart at a ball game. The attitudes of the representatives in this case were simply fulfilling the obligations of their job and no more. While I am unfamiliar with the additional services that were provided to the Rozhon family, if there are anything like what I observed, I am certain that they too, were carried out in a caring manner without taking advantage of the situation in any way. Thank you and may God continue to guide you in all of your efforts to provide caring, meaningful end-of life services to others.

Dear Phil & Shelley, Thank you so very much for your kindness and heartfelt assistance during the planning of my dear brother's Cremation, and the selection of his beautiful Urn, the Memory Cards, and Guest Register that you created for his Celebration Memorial. Our guests were blown-away by the beauty of his Urn, and thought the Memory Cards with flowers & various verses were a very nice remembrance of my brother. In the event, that anyone is looking for a place to host a "Celebration of Life Memorial," we highly recommend the Bolingbrook Golf Club. We worked with Jill Maldonado and she graciously met all of our needs. Our Memorial was held in the Board Room which holds about 50 people. The room has windows on three sides with a view of the Golf Course, and there is also a door that opens onto a large Patio. The Buffet was more than delicious - our guests raved about the food - which is not your typical buffet. Everything was scrumptious, we were able to bring our own desserts. Also, when you are hosting a Celebration of Life Memorial, there is no charge for the room or the Audio Visual. The Day tugged at our heartstrings, but was also a joyful occasion due in a large part to the Venue where we held Bob's Memorial. Thought I would share all of this with you and your Staff. Thank you again, and may you continue to find fulfillment in the career you have chosen. You provide heartfelt assistance along with true compassion to Family Members who have lost a loved one. In June, 2011, I met with one of your staff at the Rt.59 location to work through pre-need planning for my parents. This is never an easy thing to do, but you took me through each step with compassion and kindness. On May 27, 2013, Dad passed away. One call to your Washington Street location was all that needed to be done. Phil Barnum came to St. Patrick's Residence, where Dad and Mom were living. Dignity was observed at all times. We worked with Phil throughout the funeral service and every detail was attended to by him . Just seven weeks following Dad's death,my Mother passed away.
